We broke ground for our new building this past spring and should be moved in by next spring. There will be seven classrooms, a Children's Church room, two bathrooms, a shower room, and a large kitchen inside the wood frame building. The "red iron" building will be the general activity building. It will be a half basketball court/fellowship hall/meeting room/auditorium. Though not completely finished, this November 20th the church plans on celebrating her 31st anniversary in the new building. To see our building in progress, click on the picture links below!
Activity Building Progress Report
Update (10/07/07 - Sunday bulletin): The activity building is progressing rapidly. Please pray for the safety of the men as they continue to work so hard on it.
Update (01/14/08 - Sharon Evans, Church Historian): Things are going really good at church. We're excited about the new year and what God's going to do. Our building is coming along. My husband is going out tonight to meet Mike Thompson and finish up one little wiring project, then it's ready for inspection. The bricklayers have finished and it looks great. The guys worked out there Saturday and got the doors hung, which really makes a big difference. The Lord has blessed us with men who work so good together and give of their time to work on it, not for themselves, but because they love the Lord and want His work to go forward. I love to go out and listen to them. Sometimes it's serious, but then the laughter and fun take over. I've taken a lot of pictures but lately I've missed some of their work days. The guys are probably glad I haven't been around with my trusty camera!! (ha,ha)
Update (April 2008 - Sharon Evans) The sheetrock is up and we can see how different it looks with the walls covered. The wiring has been completed for the most part, the lighting fixtures are up in the gym/fellowship area, and I just walk around in complete awe of everything that's been accomplished thus far. We can tell the size of the rooms, think about paint colors, plan for our kids' needs, and see their excitement. We thank God for keeping everyone who has helped in any way safe and without injury. We had an organizational meeting for VBS on Sunday evening, April 13 and are very excited as we will be holding Vacation Bible School in our new building.
